About Me

Dr. Garcia has been part of Teverbaugh Croland & Mueller Ob/Gyn & Associates, S.C since 2013. She received her Medical degree from Saba University School of Medicine in the Netherlands-Antilles, in 2005 and went on to complete a residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine, in Springfield, Illinois, in 2011.

Dr. Garcia became board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology in 2013 and became a fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She is also a member of the American Medical Association, the Peoria Medical Society, and the Illinois State Medical Society.

During her last year in training, she received the resident teaching award for teaching fellow junior resident and medical students. Dr. Garcia continues to be a mentor and teacher. She is an active teaching staff at OSF St. Francis Medical Center and Methodist Medical Center. She enjoys teaching resident physicians at both hospitals as well as medical students, mid-level providers, and nurses.

She practices obstetrics and gynecology and has a special interest in office gynecology, in-office procedures, minimally invasive laparoscopic surgery, robotic surgery and is one of a few surgeons in Peoria who is offering single incision hysterectomies using the robotic da Vinci technology.

She is fluent in Spanish and in her free time, enjoys long-distance running, the outdoors, travel, and spending time and having fun with her husband and two daughters, Mia and Sasha.
